Canadian Currency > US Currency?
I've never thought it would happen, but the CND is very strong right now. Is it a good thing, since the purchasing power of Americans is much lower now (when buying foreign goods)?
Is the government planning to do something about it anytime soon
I don't think so because many Canadians think that it is a good thing that the currency is higher than the Americans. But it is not since the high currency would eliminate many exports going out of Canada and is bad for the Canadian economy. I don't think the Canadian government would do anything soon because most Canadians think that it is a good thing. And is not just the Canadian currency going up but it is the American currency going down and the American currency would remain low for a couple of years at least because the U.S is over inflation right now. It would be recession or is already right now. (have been too busy with school to check the economy lately) soon but i don't think it would be in depression. The American economy has to slow down and have a lower currency so that there would be more export.
