Staff Smooth
How would you respond to coworker?

Work in an office with 4 women. My boss and another woman LL have been there for 20 years. LL can be rude, loud, controlling, interrupts, withholds information, bullies us including boss. I have been subjected to 2 so called meetings only to be bushwhacked by LL, while my boss, and other co-worker were stunned, besides me being off guard. My boss is very passive, and does not like conflict. For the most part our office runs fairly smooth. My boss wanted to call another staff meeting the other day because LL has some things bothering her, and my boss is tired of listening to her. I told my boss, that if LL has a problem with me or others she needs to direct her concern to us privately, that I will never again listen to her rake someone over the coals at a staff meeting. Besides the fact LL is not my boss! My boss has no problem with my work. Told boss I will not be subjected to that ever again. LL needs hormone help! If confronted will tell her she is not my boss and to back off.

That's all you can do. You only take orders from your boss, and if her "bullying" continues, that is considered harassment. Follow the chain of command... if your boss isn't doing anything then tell whoever is above her. If her boss doesn't do anything, keep on going up the ladder until you finally get resolution. I would advise you to keep a small journal of her bullying, dates, times, and what you did to try to "resolve" it. It may come in handy one day.
