Upgrading clubs?
I'm currently playing with a Taylormade SuperQuad driver, Wilson Staff Putter and the rest on my clubs are from a set. I play off around 11 and I would like other peoples' opinion of what club I should upgrade next. I like my irons even though th are from a set and I never use fairways woods; I drive around ey300 yards and never need more than a 3 iron and then a wedge on long par fives. So what should I upgrade next? I was thinking maybe a hybrid club (if so what type) or maybe a new high end putter (Scotty Cameron, Odyssey Black series, Nike Unitized etc.)

If your happy with your driver, stick with it, it seems as though your doing a pretty good job distance wise on it, the putter definitely has to go. I for one was also looking into a putter upgrade, I have been to my local golf shops and tried a few and from what everyone tells you name brand wise, its not the same for yourself. Yes everyone says Odyssey, Scotty Cameron, Nike, Ping, but you have to get a feel for yourself. The Scotty Cameron seems to be great, Odyssey and Nike too but the two ball putters of those name brands are not my style. They seem to drag the back end a little which to me slows down the ball speed. I like what Nike has done with their new blade putters and also how thick the Scotty Cameron is even though its not a two ball. Now to the hybrid question. If you still have some two hundred or so yards on your long par fives, hybrids are definitely the way to go. I use my hybrid more than any other iron in the bag. I have great accuracy with a hybrid and little movement compared to irons. They hit soft and feel great. I currently hit a Nicklaus Air Max hybrid which is inexpensive and a really good hybrid. There are many choices out there as you can tell and you might possibly want to match your driver, this is what I have done myself. Go to the golf shops and check prices compared to others, that could be a deciding factor.
