Do my mizuno wedges need to be customized to the same specifications as my MP 57 irons?
I recently had to give up my Titleist 962 DCI irons.
Previously, I had chanced on the MPT Mizuno wedges and loved them.
I went out and bought the MP 57 irons customized to my specifications... Lie- 2 degrees and length - 1/4 inch.
My wedges are of standard manufacturer's specifications.
Question is , is it recommended to have the wedges customized to the specs for the irons?

I think the answer depends on whether you make very many full swings with your wedges. If the answer to this is no, and you primarily use the wedges as pitching and chipping clubs, they probably don't need to have the same specs as your irons any more than a putter does. Wedges often swingweight very heavy and are designed to work on short swings where often the golfer chokes down on the club and uses a more upright lie with the clubhead clsoer to their feet. Take your wedges and setup in your normal chipping or pitching stance. Do you have to do anything to keep the club from being more on the heel or toe? If not, they are probably setup pretty well for you. Getting wedges fiitted to your setup is probably a good idea, but the right specs for your wedges might be very different than your regular irons. Do you feel good with your wedges and can you get them to do what you want them to do most of the time? If the answer is yes, I wouldn't worry too much about making any changes.
