What does a probation travel permit require?
What I mean is, say I were to apply for one and get it. If I told my PO something like "I'm going to Anywhere, USA for 4 days to visit family. I'll be staying in a hotel," what instructions will the PO likely give me?
I know I'll be told to be back by the set deadline, but what about other things like travel route I must stick to, checking in with a probation office while away, nature of the trip, etc?
I'm not looking for an absolute answer because I know that this all varies from case to case. I'm looking for the general parameters of what a travel permit usually entails. Thanks!
You might be asked to wear an ankle bracelet locator beacon.
Other than that, the PO can ask or require a whole bunch of stuff, including checking in with the local PD or PO where you are going.
