Need a new grip?
Hi guys,
My Wilson Fat Shaft Deep Red 365 CC driver is in desperate need of regripping. Can anyone suggest a good grip for someone with big hands and a bit of a tight grip.
Since the same brands of grips come in different sizes the easy solution is to actually get fitted for a grip (they do this and measure to 1/32 of an inch). Just go to your local course or pro shop and have them take your hand measurements. They will then put on the exact right grip for your hand size with no guess work. By doing this you will:
- Get your wrists through your shots much more easily
- Reduce hooks and slices
- Be able to work the ball on purpose with just a little practice.
- Not have to "choke" the club, reducing fatigue and gaining a lot of control.
Regarding what style of grips, my preference on my driver is always for a more tactile grip (cord or half-cord), but it's all up to your preference.
