Suggestions on what kind of snake i should get?
I am getting a second snake in addition to the adult albino california king snake, baby albino corn snake, and emperor scorpion I have, and would really appreciate some suggestions. I would like for it to fill most, if not all, of these qualifications:
1) non venomous(I will not even consider a poisonous snake, so don't bother suggesting one)
2) under 7 ft when full grown
3) will eat frozen mice fairly easily
4)looks beautiful
5) fairly docile(this is not too important, as i have experience with more advanced reptiles)
6) not too common, but not so rare that I have to search all over for it. I specifically want a color variation and/or breed of snake that the average snake owner won't have, so please don't suggest something like a ball python or milk snake.
I would really appreciate any help! I just can't seem to find the kind of snake i'm looking for. Btw, don't waste my time with stupid crap like "black mamba", "rattlesnake", "cobra", etc.
A male taiwanese beauty snake could be an option.
They tend to get 5 - 7ft long (females are larger, some growing upto 9ft)
They are seriously beautiful snakes but arent too common, where i am at least.
They are voracious feeders and if handled regualrly while young they can become very time.
I have a baby female right now - she's lovely!
Hognose snakes are very mildly venomous, but is no worse than a bee sting and they are rear fanged. A DWA license is not needed.
Rosy boas, sand boas, calabar pythons, dumerils boas, spotted pythons, rainbow boas and carpet pythons could be options too
