Driver flex; Stiff or X-Stiff?
Thinking about buying a Taylormade R11, but not sure if I should get the stiff or x-stiff shaft. I hit them both in the simulator and the stiff felt a little whippy but still went 290-300 consistently as did the X, the X just went a little lower. Hopefully someone that knows about shafts can give me some pro's and con's of each....Thanks! btw, swing speed is 105-110

Hit both on a practice range. You need to see the ball flight to know for sure. Don't trust the Simulator! There are many tour pro's that use a standard stock stiff shaft. That doesn't mean they cannot hit the x shaft, but they can control the regular stiff shaft better and still get plenty of distance. The stiffer the shaft, the harder you have to work during each swing.
