Zou Shiming and Zhang Xioping, are they ready for the pros?
Zou Shiming is the most decorated Chinese amateur boxer. He has won the Gold medal in the Beijing Olympics, becoming the first Chinese ever to win the gold in boxing. Zhang Xioping followed with the same success, also winning the gold, only becoming the second Chinese boxer to do so in boxing.
Zou Shiming is a Light Flyweight while Zhang Xioping is a Light Heavyweight. Are they ready for the pros and be as successful or even more successful than Xiong Zhao Zhong?
Shiming Zou, the jackie chan of boxing!!! Wow's that' s a very colorful young boxer, flamboyant, had power in both hands and quick reflexes like a Roy Jones. I remember his bouts in the Olympics, all of them very impressive. He was hyped and he lived up to that. I doubt if he'll turn pro this early, China should get enough of him in the Olypics, the guy's hard to beat. Maybe one more gold before he turns pro.
Zhang Xioping, though a gold medalist was not as impressive as Zou. Just poor competition in the light heavy last 2008 Olympics, he wont do well if ever he turns pro. If he meets Chad, it's over for him.
