Do you think Palin's direct line with "God's wishes" makes her a dangerous individual to be the US VP?
Ms. Palin has mentioned that the invasion of Irak was a "God's task". She has also mentioned that God wants a gas pipeline to exploit Alaskan resources. So it seems clear that she is convinced, like the Ayatollahs, that she has direct access to God's wishes and will. Also, like the Ayatollahs, those wishes are 100% coincidental with her own. She is also convinced that God speaks through the barrel of her guns or when she preaches to other women (obviously does not apply to her), mothers or daughter what they have to do or not do with their lives. The fact of knowing exactly what God wants may be an advantage for someone at the White House. Would this also be the case for the rest of us?
I think it makes her a very dangerous individual.
The USA have condemned other nations using religion for nationalistic or political ends, and they have always striven, quite correctly in my opinion, to keep their international politics secular. If the USA wants to stay on its slippery downhill slope then bringing religion into the argument is a very good way of doing it.
