My mom has a thing about me wearing black.?
I can't seem to rationalize with her. I have tried everything. I will not give up on myself. This is me no matter what people say or think.
She just sees the clothes not the person. I have compromised but its never enough. what do i do? Some people have even told my mom that they don't want their kids hanging out with me. Their kids aren't even my age or gender I don't care but she does. I'm polite and Catholic. I do not stand for voodoo or anything like that.So whats the issue what can I do to convince her that it's okay? sorry this is kinda long but I don't know what to do!
first of all ill explain why she probably doesn't want you wearing black
she probably just looks at the people that wear black and sees how they act what they do etc. but what she doesn't know is that people are always different no matter what they wear.
second i will give you a way to tell her that its fine to wear black
you could send her an e-mail or give her a phone call when she goes away if you are too shy and you really want to express yourself
i do it all the time when i need to express deep and intense feelings or things
i just send an e-mail to the person regarding my problem or situation
third of all i will tell you what you can say or paraphrase if you don't know
black is just a color to some people its more but to me its just a color
so you should know that i don't wear black because i am involved in something or because im depressed i just wear it because i like it
just like people like purple i like black. just like people wear orange i wear black.
