Is it an insult to the far left in the US when people call Obama far left?
Don't get me wrong but I wish Obama was truly a lefty but his the best America can have for a long time. But the insult comes from the fact the fat left is an extreme minority in the US and the media and the government love to criticise them and blame them for many problems when the far left has no real power in the US.
Obama is not even left let alone far left. He is very near the centre of the political scale.

when Obama's spokesman said this
