computer disk drive not working?
i have a windows vista pc, up untill now it worked really well. I recently bought adobe photoshop and i put it into the disk thing and it wont reconize it. Nothing show up and when i go into my computer it isnt in there to.
so i went into the device manager and it has the dreaded yellow exclamation mark on it and says Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
i tried everything i know to fix it and i looked online but its all technical mumbo jumbo to me and i dont understand it at all. does anyone know how to fix this problem? also we had a really big earthquake a week ago, could that have affected it? thanks
Go back into device manager and uninstall the drives drivers. Reboot and windows should reload the drivers. If not do a Windows update and see if it finds the drivers. From time to time Windows drivers do get corrupted for some reason so uninstall the and reinstall them.
