How are Hippo Golf Irons?
I have been looking around for a new driver and ultimately a new iron set. I was on Rockbottomgolf and I searched Hippo. I found the Hippo Hex 2 driver(which I have been looking into) and below was Hippo Hex 2 Irons 3-PW. They are a regular 699.99 for 199.99 on RBG. Are these any good? I know its mainly used overseas but are they worth a look? they seem amazing for the price.
I will also be buying a gap, lob, and sand wedge of the same brand irons. hippo also offers these but they arent Hex 2, I think they will still hit the same however.
Hippo makes a pretty good club. They don't spend a gazillion dollars on advertising and tour placement so that doesn't get factored into the cost of the club that you pay. RBG is a good company, but most of their really low priced items are 1 to 2 years old and that's part of the savings also. I hit a set of Hippo IQ irons quite a few years ago, had a really nice feel to them and a very solid head. Never hit the driver or fairway woods, so I can't tell you you're getting into there, but you should be safe with the irons.
