should I buy a full golf club set or just a few starter clubs?
I'm fairly new to the game of golf and i'm looking to invest in some good clubs. I would like to know if it's a better investment to buy a full complete set or should I buy a driver and an iron set to get me started. I have a decent handicap for a beginner and I want some clubs that will work as I get better as a golfer.
If you think it's a sport that you will enjoy and keep playing, then I recommend you go all out and buy a nice full set of irons and a driver separately. NOT the cheap beginner brands from Walmart and Kmart either. Just buy a new or used set of good irons like Cobra, Nike, or Cleveland. Then find a good driver from brands like those. A lot of golf shops have new and used clubs so you could go check them out if there's one near you. I bought a used set in great condition from a local Edwin Watts when I started out. Had 3,4,5,6,7,8,and 9 King Cobra irons and wedge. Added an Odyssey putter, and a Taylormade R7 driver. Hope this helps.
