cdr brand advice?
i have a denon cdrw1500 cd recorder. what cdr disc brands work best with this cd recorder. tdk, sony, fuji and kodak i read are good. tdk model number r80twn does this cdr brand work with my recorder and are gold cdr disc better and do they produce better sound when recorded onto.
i have been doing cdr's a long time and have fund through use and research that 98% of all blank cdr's come of of basicly 2-3 assembly lines
They have just a few maufacturer that make all for all brands, ie: Verbatin are Made by Mitsubishi, you will not find a HUGE differnence from onebrand to another, what you will find on lesser expsensive brand is that they have so 'label" side so when you use them, makesure you knowwhat side you
Also rmember when youbuy sa a sony, or menorex, yes you pay more, but you pay morebecause you are buy the NAME brand recoreded on, but generaly speaking most blanks are made by 2-3 compies, For example, Office Depot are made by virbatim who iso wned by Mitsubishi, but what they do is they make them to Office Depot sepcifications not their own so if their quality is not as good it is because the specifications office depot usues may be less then what mitusbibi has forspecifications for their own
I am not singling Office Depot out, i use teir brand all the time and over 5 years have only had a dozen or so discs that were bad, but you will find bad discs with any brand, the lesser the rpice is do to name brand or "generic brand" not quality, some stores carry brand X, thisdoes not mean brand X is less quailty then say a Sony, or Memortex, what t means is Brand X is being sold against brand names and if you see sony, memorex and brand X atthesame price because peole buy "brand names" you are ore likely to buy the sony or memorex over Brand X do to name recgonition, the over all quality of all 3 should be essentialy the same with, you just pay for for the brand name notthe qauilty of the disc itself
