I got into a drunken violent fight with my girlfriend, can I take legal action (she threw the first strike)?
My girlfriend and I just got into a drunken (borderline) fist fight about something I feel I'm in the right about. She threw the first 5/6 slaps (ouch - stingy!!! I've never been in a fight before!) before I threw a (feeble) punch at her. A few minutes later she bit my lip, making it bleed. Owwie. I thumped her in the gut, which didn't stop the bite then shoved her in the chest away from me with both hands in order to end the bite. And then I cried and left the room. lol. Can I claim any compensation for this seeing as the scuffle wasn't started by me and I was left worse off?? Or is that ridiculous? Before you hurl abuse at me for being a pussy, please bear in mind I am a girl.
Just how old are you? 12. That's how you sound. Number 1 both of you were drunk. Number 2 you allowed the slapping to continue instead of leaving at that time. Number 3 she bit your lip "a few minutes later"? What happened during that few minutes that you didn't walk away from and how did her face get close enough to your face to bite your lip? Now you want money? Get real! You got into a girl fight and got beat deal with it. Maybe next time you will think about this and not get drunk.
