How do you preform a wheel alignment?
I have a 2005 Chevy Cobalt and its starting to drift to one side. How easy is it to preform a wheel alignment and do I need a special tool to do so?
Unfortunately it is almost impossible to do one your own as you will require an alignment rack to actually ensure that your wheels are aligned properly. There are some people that will suggest you just "toe in" one side and "toe out" the other slightly but your car will be driving diagonally before long.
Save yourself the headache, and keep everyone else safe have a local shop do it for the $60 its worth.
If you want you could try rotating your tires before going for a wheel alignment as that may cure the problem.
