Magnets + drivers license?
So I am making a wallet that is very minimal. Its just a 5.5" x 3.75" piece of stiff cloth material that folds in half. It has a piece of clear plastic sewed into each side (on the inside) for my school i.d. and drivers license. I was planning on just putting my money (usually about 5 bills) folded in half set inside the 'wallet'. to make sure the money doesn't fall out, i was going to put a small round magnet (1 cm diameter) and very thin, at each corner, when opened, so it is sealed somewhat but easy to open.
so i was wondering, will they ruin or mess up my drivers license at all? my school i.d. doesn't have a magnetic strip but my license does. to hopefully prevent damage, i am putting the license in so that the strip is in the middle when opened, so it's not right next to the magnets and a little more than 1.5" away from the magnets. is this safe?
