Pushmower stalls when I stop rolling?
I have an old pushmower (briggs/straton engine) that stalls out when I stop pushing it.
Its not a self-propelled mower, I've tried cleaning it out (found some junk wrapped up inside the rotor thingy), and it has the correct amount of oil. Also, the spark plug and outside wires are all attached firmly.
Here is what happens.
prime it.
I pull the cord, crank it on.
Start pushing it. Works great.
I hit a corner, or I slow down, or I pull it back to go around something and it putters out.
I thought perhaps an inside wire was jiggling loose when the momentum changes, but wanted to ask before I started taking it apart.

sounds like it only wants to run when the motor is in a strain and the Governor is working, that sounds like a fuel problem. you need to get the carb cleaned and adjusted, that should fix it.
