Are Adams Tight Lies good starting clubs for a beginner?
I've just become interested in golfing and have played about 5 times with rented clubs. I've also gone to the driving range multiple times with 2 clubs that I own, and taken a lesson. I'm interested in buying a set of clubs and was wondering if anyone had suggestions?

Would this be a good set to bid on? There's no driver but I've heard that beginners shouldn't use a driver anyway. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I'd say for a beginning golfer, these clubs are great. If you can get an almost full set of clubs for what the bid is now, you are doing pretty well. Definitely continue taking lessons, they will make you much better much quicker than playing without instruction. Once that handicap starts dropping I would suggest upgrading your clubs, and make sure when you buy them you get them custom fit. It usually doesn't take too long, the custom fitting is often included in the price of new clubs, and it will make a dramatic difference in no time. Good luck with your game.
