What are some golf irons for 11 handicapper improving?
I'm looking at forged irons with a cavity such as CCi forged and Mizuno mp-60's but not sure if they are too much for me. I play pretty well on the fairways and most improvement has to be on the greens so I am just looking for a weapon to get me in range. Will it be too difficult to use forged irons or will the cavity help a little if i hit it slightly off center. Please tell me if I am making the right decision or if I should stay with cavity-back irons. Whichever the best, please give me an idea of which clubs you feel are forgiving for forged/cavity and the price (I want a club around $500 or under). Thanks!
It all depends on how well your iron game is. If you are a highly skilled golfer that is looking to work the ball well and control ball flights then a forged club is what you want. Or, if your just the casual golfer that is looking to make things easier then a cavity-back club is what you want. As it goes for your budget, i would reccomend buying from www.tgw.com or www.golfsmith.com. They both have a great discount section with brand name iron sets that run real cheap.
