You will however need a tape measure for measuring the installation area and a craft knife to cut the blanket to size prior to installation. You will also need the tape measure to check the blanket is laid to a depth of at least 270mm, to gain maximum insulation effect.
Another advantage of insulation blanket is that it's very light and compression-packed, making it easy to handle and carry it up and down a loft ladder. Do please bear in mind however, that an average attic will need several rolls to cover it effectively and, unless you have a huge car or van, it will require several trips to the DIY store.
